In February, scholars of various disciplines and nationalities come together in Würzburg to discuss their projects and research in the area of Early Modern translations of classical texts. Persons engaged in research in the fields of classical, German and Romance philology present their approaches, projects, and results: Malika Bastin-Hammou, Alexia Dedieu, and Louisa Laj of the Université Grenoble introduce their research on translations of Greek dramas as well as their work in the area of the digital humanities and digital publishing (ITHAC, L'Aristophane de Lobineau), Thomas Baier and Raphaelle Jung of the Universität Würzburg speaks on translations of the Ship of Fools, and Regina Toepfer provides an overview of the SPP 2130. The workshop offers stimulating discussions and a wide range of opportunities to network and collaborate, while also calling attention to synergy effects and cross-lingual research projects.
