TransUnits
As a rule, one TransUnit is made up of three research associates from different sections who are in the doctoral or post-doctoral phase. As a tool for the promotion of young researchers, the TransUnits pursue two goals:
- They provide a means of exchange and intense networking between colleagues by enabling them to consult with one another in regular video conferences between the annual conferences and give each other peer feedback.
- They serve the purposes of interdisciplinary collaboration in that every TransUnit carries out a joint project. Each TransUnit is entirely free to choose the type of project and the method and means of its implementation. Both traditional and experimental science forms are conceivable. The spectrum of possibilities ranges from the organisation of a work meeting to printed or digital publications or teaching, or even the production of a stage play. The only condition is that the results be documented, evaluated, critically reflected on and, in the long run, publicised.
The TransUnits were formed at the first annual conference in September 2019. Funds are available for workshops and other projects and can be applied from the SPP 2130 office.
